September 2026 saw a special visitor to Wattisham Station Heritage Museum.
Henry Walker Smith is an acclaimed aviation artist who wanted to present us with a special print.

One of Henry’s recent works is entitled “Wattisham Warrior”, and features our very own XT914 departing our HAS25 at Wattisham on a night-time sortie. This painting was recently deservedly awarded the Aces High “Aviation Painting Of The Year” Award in 2026 by the Guild of Aviation Artists.

This painting is based on one of our very popular evening photo-shoots, where we have the HAS open and illuminated, and the aircraft and taxiway lighting switched on, providing a superb evocative scene.
On the day Henry presented our Chairman Paul with a print copy of the painting to display in the Museum. We are very grateful to Henry for his generosity. Henry was also guided around our aircraft during the day to gain some inspiration for future works.
