November 2025 provided us the opportunity to host a visit to the Museum by a number of French Army personnel.
Large scale exercise Pinion Titan was taking place at Wattisham and around the UK, and as part of this exercise a number of French Army Gazelle helicopters and personnel from 3 RHC at Etain in France were operating from Wattisham.
This short notice visit came at the request of the French crews themselves, and we were only too happy to oblige.
It was a pleasure to host them and show them round the Museum, and they had a very obvious interest in the history and heritage that we have on display. Of particular interest to them were the Wattisham Squadrons which had a connection with France, and they noted some Squadron badges and/or mottos which had an obvious French background.
Thanks go to them for their interest and questions, which we hopefully managed to answer despite our rudimentary French language skills!
