Maggie is a founder member of Wattisham Station Heritage, and currently serves as Vice Chair on the museum committee.
“I was born to the sound of jets, having lived close to Wattisham airfield most of my life. My grandparent’s house was built around when the airfield expanded during the Second World War, so l listened to many wartime stories, particularly from the American presence. My father served in the RAF during the war, and l think the combination of family memories formed my particular interest in that era of the airfield’s history, both military and civilian.
The museum has gone from strength to strength over the 32 years l have had the privilege to be a part of it, thanks to the amazing members and visitors.”
